Alpine America is proud to announce the Demo Car of the Year at the Consumer Electronics Show, held every year in Las Vegas, U.S.A. in January.
This year we put on exhibit a special Honda Civic Si, done up in an extraordinarily original fashion — creative and just plain cool.
We spent six months designing and preparing this demo car, which is based around Alpine?fs theme this year, "Non-Stop Music." We also installed some of our best and brightest components to make it an exceptional listening experience.
The centerpiece of the extensive system was the HDA-5460 hard disk player, which features huge storage capacity for saving thousands of songs. Among the other components installed were the DVA-5202 DVD player, DHA-S680 DVD/CD changer, and a full complement of amplifiers and subwoofers — making this a very comprehensive, impressive system.
However, the thing that attracted the most attention in the car was the single seat. The front interior of the car was completely rebuilt, with the steering wheel at the center of the dashboard, and a single seat behind it, letting the driver pilot the car from the center.
As with last year's demo car, the Acura RSX, the Civic Si sported a gorgeous custom paint job, helping the car stand out in this exciting event. |
